The style is not difficult to learn: a room with an interior in this style immerses in the atmosphere of an abandoned workshop or factory. Therefore, the loft style is sometimes called industrial.

In comparison with other interior styles, the Loft is fondly loved by the young generation. This style is of particular interest to creative people. It suits those who need space for inspiration, who likes to go beyond.

The Loft style reflects the trend of our modern society, namely, openness and transparency. The lack of walls and partitions, huge windows and ceilings more than 3 meters, an alliance of simplicity and uniqueness – this is the Loft style.

Due to the presence of coarse, stiff details, the style may seem out of place in a city apartment, but examples of the design work of Studio 57 can convince you. Shabby walls of brick, metal pipes, antique decorations fit harmoniously with modern technology and furniture. The combination of new technologies and authentic, hard furnishings serves as a base for interior design in loft style.

The history of the appearance of “Loft” as a style of interior design.

In the 50 years of the 20th century, when the land began to appreciate in the US megacities, poor people found a solution: they moved to abandoned warehouses, namely, to their attics. There were no partitions and instead of the usual ceiling the beams were fastened and the roof was visible.

But how did this style become elite and prestigious?

Here the creative representatives of the bohemians of that time tried. Creators and artists have transformed the factory premises into studio apartments, adding pathos with golden baths, leather red sofas, velvet soft furniture, picturesque paintings and elite carpets. Therefore, although the interior in loft style can seem budgetary, this style is considered the most expensive in the world.

The main thing for Loft is always to keep a free, undivided space and use a minimum of furniture.
