Style originated in the late XIX century, at the time of the industrial revolution, when the world was choking with automation and a machine revolution. “Art Nouveau” does not resemble the style of “high-tech” at all, as many might think. Interior in this style is more like the design of apartments in the XIX-XX century.
The main features of the “Art Nouveau” style:
– Smooth, curved lines;
– Fuzzy, streamlined forms;
– Images and illustrations of girls, namely their long, beautiful, curly hair;
– Natural materials;
– Elements similar to the intertwining of tree branches;
– Exotic materials;
– Incorrect, asymmetric forms;
– Natural colors;
– Stained-glass windows and screw, luxurious staircases.

“Art Nouveau” is an expensive pleasure…
The fact is that this style is suitable only antique (or made in this style to order) furniture, which is worth a lot of money. But the room or apartment, decorated in the style of “Art Nouveau”, looks like a real work of art. Therefore, if you decide to decorate the interior in this style, it will please you for a long time and fill with energy!
This style is currently used very rarely, the reason: the high cost of its implementation (if you want to create a design for all the canons of style). But the apartment in this style gives you a chance to surprise your guests. Each interior in this style is unique, as most of the items in the design are made to order or are antiques, that is, things that not everyone can afford or buy.

“Art Nouveau” is not “Modern”!
Today, you can meet not a few design solutions in the so-called “Modern” style, although in fact the interior does not look like this style.
The thing is that 80% perceive the word “moderne” literally and use for the embodiment of this style modern furniture, accessories and furnishings, which fundamentally distinguishes what is obtained from the true style of the “Art Nouveau” . Since its inception, it practically did not change its principles and concepts, so when creating an interior in “modern” style it is better to be inspired by the old apartments than with modern design catalogs.
